Before our visit, Six Flags Over Texas was hit with flood waters due to a major storm that came through the area, leaving sections and rides closed. Construction has also progressed on the two children's attractions coming to Bugs Bunny Boomtown.

April 8, 2024 saw Six Flags Over Texas become a unique place to catch the total solar eclipse with rides, viewing areas and a fireworks display.
