Big DC Universe Ride Construction Updates, New Dining & Theming Upgrades | Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Construction progress continues on Fiesta Texas' 2024 ride additions, along with the general retheme and expansion of the DC Universe park area. We also find new Easter eggs around the park, which include several newly-themed billboards. Also new at the park is additional dining signage, a new way to order food from your table and Hurricane Harbor-related changes as its opening day approaches.

Scream Break returns to Six Flags Over Texas from March 9 to 16, this time with a completely new theme. Attendees can experience the return of Casa Magnetica as the Lōkahi Welcome Center, the all-new Curse of the Polynesian Palm haunted house, multiple live entertainment offerings, specialty characters and a wide selection of adult beverages from themed bars. Shock Wave Celebrates 50 Million Riders, New Ride Construction, Spring Break | Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Over Texas celebrates 50 million riders on the classic Shock Wave roller coaster with a ceremony featuring a ribbon cutting, giveaways and special behind-the-scenes tour. We also show off the quick construction progress taking place for the return of Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters and the new Sylvester & Tweety Pounce and Bounce. Six Flags Over Texas is also celebrating Spring Break through March 17 with live entertainment, decor and specialty food items.
Schwarzkopf's Big Bend Roller Coaster | History of Six Flags Series
Big Bend, a Schwarzkopf Speed Racer roller coaster, called Six Flags Over Texas home from 1971 to 1979. When it opened, it was the park's tallest and fastest roller coaster. Big Bend reached a top speed of 52 miles per hour, climbed up to 81 feet tall and featured 2,876 feet of track. Six Flags Over Texas Announces 2024 Park Improvements
Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, today announced new park enhancements for the 2024 season. One new ride, Sylvester and Tweety Pounce and Bounce, and one returning ride, Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters, will be coming to the Bugs Bunny Boomtown section of the park Memorial Day weekend. A retheming of the classic Chaparral Antique Cars into Dino Off Road Adventure will follow later in the summer.

Though Six Flags Over Texas has not made an official announcement (and may not), the new 2024 El Rio Lento project appears to be quietly cancelled. Six Flags Over Texas is set to unveil El Rio Lento, one of the world’s longest log flumes. A makeover of the world’s first-ever log ride, El Aserradero, El Rio Lento will feature one new lift hill and two big drops, including a steep nosedive.

Pirates of Speelunker Cave opened at Six Flags Over Texas on May 14, 2022 and sees many new changes for its grand reopening in 2023. Can you spot them all? Riders board the attraction and venture into Speelunker Cave. Soon enough, you are greeted by a band of pirates looking for lost treasure. Upon bracing a storm, a kraken, mermaids and more, the exploration takes riders deep into Speelunker territory. Over 60 Speelunkers greet guests with a custom soundtrack, projections and other effects. In the end, the pirates of no match for the Speelunkers and fail their treasure-hunting mission. Join us for a multi-angle POV of this attraction that revitalizes the classic Six Flags Over Texas character.

Recently, Six Flags Fiesta Texas unveiled two new offerings at their park with the ESIX Gaming complex and the VIP Lounge. ESIX Gaming at Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a state-of-the-art esports concept, in collaboration with Coca-Cola and IGN, located in the park’s Los Festivales section. It features a 5v5 event stage format, Razer gaming stations, gaming consoles, live streaming abilities, full-service bar and more. Upstairs, guests can find the VIP Lounge, which features more lounge areas, balcony views of the park, a second bar and light refreshments.

Summer is in full force at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and changes continue to take place throughout the park. Ride Spotlight - Mr. Freeze at Six Flags Over Texas | Coaster's 25th Anniversary
Mr. Freeze, a Premier Rides LIM launch coaster, officially opened at Six Flags Over Texas in 1998. In 2023, the iconic attraction celebrates its 25th anniversary! Mr. Freeze begins by launching riders from 0 to 70 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds. Soon after, the attraction travels through a top hat inversion, into an overbanked turn and up the 218-foot tall spike. What happens next? Riders complete the whole circuit backwards! With two inversions and a track length of only 1,300 feet, Mr. Freeze's ride experience lasts under one minute.
