Park Construction & Improvements Progress, Holiday in the Park Updates | Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Over Texas has taken on a number of huge construction and improvement projects throughout the park. We take a look at several, including new paint on buildings, new fencing around the park's perimeter, pathway expansions, a new Mr. Freeze paint job, progress on Pirates of Speelunker Cave and more. We also take a loop around the park and discuss entertainment offerings and other activities coming for this year's Holiday in the Park event.

We take another visit out to Six Flags Over Texas for their 2021 Fright Fest event. While at the park, we check out the new Diamond Member Lounge, along with other infrastructural improvements in progress. Aquaman Construction Tour, Several Multi-Million Dollar Projects Under Way | Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Over Texas has announced that several multi-million dollar projects are now under way at the park! These include a new Looney Tunes Mall facade, a third train for Batman: The Ride, a $2 million enhancement for the parking lot, paint projects for the park's major attractions and more. We also take an exclusive tour of the Aquaman: Power Wave construction site. This all-new roller coaster is scheduled to open by the end of summer 2022.
Fright Fest 2021 - Haunted House Reviews, Scare Zones & Live Shows | Six Flags Over Texas
Fright Fest 2021 is in full force at Six Flags Over Texas as we enjoy the nighttime, spooky portion of the event. Join us for a review of several haunted houses, including the all-new Labsics: Classified and the Do Drop Inn. We also venture through all of the park's scare zones, though some changes have been made with safety as the top priority. Finally, we check out other attractions, such as the Vampire Bar and all-new entertainment offerings.
Fright Fest 2021 - Casa Magnetica Overlay, Daytime Family-Friendly Activities | Six Flags Over Texas
Join us for a daytime look of Fright Fest 2021 at Six Flags Over Texas. We take a tour around the park to show off family-friendly activities, including Looney Tunes Spooky Town and entertainment. We also check out the daytime looks of scare zones and haunted house entrances, along with a POV of the limited-run Dia de los Muertos overlay currently inside Casa Magnetica.
One Week Away From Fright Fest 2021, More Big Construction Updates | Six Flags Over Texas
Fright Fest begins next Saturday and we head out to Six Flags Over Texas to discover new event details. Several new themed pieces, including more haunted house and scare zone clues, have popped up around the park. A couple new changes, including RFID readers on souvenir cups, are now present. We also take a look at Pandemonium's paint job progress, Looney Tunes Mall and new activity happening at Antique Emporium.

An end-of-summer visit to Six Flags Over Texas shows off several new projects at the park! We find crews once again working on Aquaman: Power Wave as prep for turntable installation is under way. We take a tour around the park to find clues for this year's Fright Fest event, along with showing off confirmed attractions and shows.
Happy 60th Birthday to Six Flags Over Texas, the Original Six Flags Park
Six Flags Over Texas officially turns 60 years old on August 5, 2021! The park was designed to depict the six sovereigns that had ruled over Texas throughout time, which were Modern (USA), Texas, Confederacy, Mexico, Spain and France. Unveiling a well-rounded park was important to Wynne. Several rides were designed to replicate "real" experiences from their located park area. Shops and dining locations also follow the formula, featuring the appropriate food and souvenir offerings. Each park area also featured themed street performances and in-depth landscaping. Join us for a trip through time as we showcase a number of highlights from the park's 60 years.
Six Flags Over Texas Announces 'Pirates of Speelunker Cave' Ride
Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, celebrated its 60th anniversary today by announcing that an all-new ride experience will make its debut for the 2022 season. Pirates of Speelunker Cave, is a state-of-the-art attraction that will place guests squarely in the middle of a pirate treasure hunt thwarted by resident Speelunkers. This exciting, new attraction is the second new ride announced at the park and is scheduled to open early in 2022.
60th Anniversary Announcement - Pirates of Speelunker Cave Coming in 2022! | Six Flags Over Texas
On Thursday, August 5, Six Flags Over Texas park president Ron McKenzie made an exciting announcement about what lies ahead and pay honor to how it all began at the park. On top of information regarding upcoming events and the progress of Aquaman: Power Wave, McKenzie also announced the return of the Speelunkers! This time, they will be integrated with a pirate theme and taking back their home location most recently occupied by Gold River Adventure.
60th Anniversary Museum, Tower History Display, New Pink Things & More! | Six Flags Over Texas
The 60th birthday of Six Flags Over Texas is soon upon us! Join us for a look at the 60th Anniversary Museum now open in the Crazy Horse Saloon. Operating through August 8, the museum takes guests back in time with a large display of several historical artifacts. The park has also installed a new historical display in the Tower section AND there's a new version of the Pink Thing now available for purchase! We also enjoy a private event hosted by the park and TSU, which includes behind-the-scenes tours of the railroad roundhouse, exclusive ride time and more.
Coasting for Kids 2021 Fundraiser, Plus Fright Fest Haunted House Tour! | Six Flags Over Texas
Join us as we participate in the Coasting for Kids 2021 fundraiser at Six Flags Over Texas. This year we were able to raise over $20,000 for the Give Kids the World Village! They are a nonprofit resort that provides cost-free vacations for critically ill children and their families. Give Kids The World gives these children and their families time away from hospitals, doctors and treatments. For one magical week, the 84-acre, storybook Village becomes a home-away-from-home for wish children visiting Orlando’s world-famous attractions. Our Coasting for Kids event included exclusive ride time, multiple meals, midway games and more. We'd like to thank our Patrons, those who purchased merchandise and everyone who donated directly to our fundraiser. We also had the privilege of taking a behind-the-scenes tour of the Piggy's Blood Shed haunted house, which will make its return for this year's Fright Fest event.

This jam-packed visit to Six Flags Over Texas features a look at both the reopening of Log Flume One and the inside of Casa Magnetica. ¡Viva La Fiesta!, Six Flags Over Texas' newest event, takes place through May 16. Continuing their 60th anniversary celebration, the event features bright decor, Latin-themed entertainment and unique food offerings. Casa Magnetica, which originally opened in 1962, has also reopened to guests after a decade of closure. Though we wanted to bring you along, the park aggressively confronted us regarding camera use in, and around, the attraction. Join us as we show you all of the other new updates around the park.

Six Flags Over Texas has extended their Spring Break celebration in 2021 as the event continues to operate until April 11. Included is themed decor, specialty food items, live entertainment and more. Six Flags Over Texas Decade in Review | 1980 - 1989
The 1980s were a decade of multiple ownerships, original removals, licensed characters, high-thrill attractions and more. Six Flags Over Texas introduced mainstream figures into the park, including Pac-Man and the Looney Tunes. Major roller coaster additions included the Flashback!, Avalanche Bobsled and Judge Roy Scream. The Six Flags Over Texas skyline also saw numerous changes, such as Texas Cliffhanger and the Great Six Flags Air Racer.
