Our final visit to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas takes place the week before Christmas. Though the park has more decorations since our previous visit, we run into issues with Holiday Market offerings closing early and the midday cancellation of shows. We are less than a week out from the beginning of Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas. While a handful of details have been released, we take a loop around the park to piece together other event clues. New for 2022 is the Oktoberfest Food Festival at Six Flags Over Texas. Taking place now through October 30, Oktoberfest features a number of German-inspired food items and beers. Aquaman: Power Wave recently began test runs and other changes have happened around the ride's construction site.

Fright Fest continues to take shape at Six Flags Over Texas with confirmed haunted houses, shows and scare zones. We discuss the upcoming closure of Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast and check out Aquaman: Power Wave progress, which shows off the ride's control panel installed. Oktoberfest is the newest event coming to the park. However, we run into conflicting start dates and lack of festival information during our visit.

Pirates of Speelunker Cave opened at Six Flags Over Texas on May 14, 2022. Riders board the attraction and venture into Speelunker Cave. Soon enough, you are greeted by a band of pirates looking for lost treasure. Upon bracing a storm, a kraken, mermaids and more, the exploration takes riders deep into Speelunker territory.

We take an end-of-summer visit to Six Flags Over Texas. Daily operation has concluded, which means the park is hard at work with new improvements and Fright Fest installations. A lap around the park reveals confirmed live entertainment and haunted house offerings that will be coming to the park this year. We also explore the park's single rider line situation with new updates regarding availability.

Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger, the world's steepest B&M dive coaster, officially opened on July 30, 2022 at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The park's 11th roller coaster, Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger reaches speeds of 60 miles per hour and a height of 150 feet. Riders are hung over the attraction's 95-degree first drop before plummeting down and into two inversions.

Though the opening of Aquaman: Power Wave has been delayed another year, construction still marches on. The ride's first boat has been installed, along with station and splashdown components.
