SeaWorld San Antonio continues the 60th anniversary celebration with the Summer Spectacular. The event is highlighted by new entertainment offerings, such as Splash: A Sandsational Cirque Celebration and the So Much More to Sea Parade with Shamu, along with a throwback museum and fireworks. Six Flags Over Texas has begun their summertime operations, opening daily until they close on Tuesdays beginning later in the month. Summer at the park looks a little different with a lack of events and no entertainment offerings during weekdays. Food prices, along with a surcharge, continue to increase while quality suffers.

Holiday in the Park returns to Six Flags Over Texas on select dates through December 31. Highlighting this year is a reimagined Christmas at the Southern Palace show, along with Krampus' House of Horrors haunted house and tons of new specialty food offerings. The Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld San Antonio takes place on select dates now through May 21. For 2023, SeaWorld touts forty-five new menu offerings with over one hundred flavors. Guests can enjoy quality bites and drinks from ten country-themed booths, including Brazil, Japan, Italy and Germany. We also check out the current progress of the park's new-for-2023 attraction, Catapult Falls. The new water ride is touted as the world's first launched flume coaster.

¡Viva la Fiesta! takes place now through May 14 on select dates at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. SeaWorld is kicking off spring 2023 with the city’s biggest and best food festival, now packed with more flavor than ever! This year at San Antonio’s largest theme park food festival, foodies can enjoy over 100 chef and mixologist-curated tastes inspired by cultures from across the seven seas. Guests can sample and sip international flavors from Brazil, Korea, Italy, Greece, Hawaii, Japan, France, Jamaica, Mexico, and Germany. The festival takes place every Thursday through Sunday from March 23rd through May 21st.

Upgrades continue to take place at Six Flags Over Texas, including fresh paint, more flat ride refurbishments, new dining locations and food offerings and the addition of free ride lockers to select attractions. We take a look at the progress on current refurb projects, including Runaway Mine Train and Judge Roy Scream, and check out some Spring Break and St. Patrick's Day festivities.

This year's Taste of Mardi Gras Food Festival at Six Flags Fiesta Texas place now through February 26. Guests can find seven booths throughout the park's Rockville section serving up savory cajun bites, beignets and an array of adult beverages. New for 2022 is the Oktoberfest Food Festival at Six Flags Over Texas. Taking place now through October 30, Oktoberfest features a number of German-inspired food items and beers. Aquaman: Power Wave recently began test runs and other changes have happened around the ride's construction site.

Guests can sip and savor their way through the festival with more than 20 new dishes to pair with wines, craft brews and cocktails.

Join us for an in-depth review of Seven Seas Food Festival 2022 at SeaWorld San Antonio. We tour each festival booth and try over 15 food offerings, inspired by countries such as Germany, Japan, Jamaica and more. Plus, we take our first ride on Tidal Surge, the tallest and fastest S&S Screamin' Swing attraction in the world.

The 30th Anniversary Festival, which celebrates Six Flags Fiesta Texas' 30th birthday, takes place now through May 30. On top of then and now displays and mini museums, the event also features the 30th Anniversary Food Festival and the return of historical shows. Join us as we try out the festival's food offerings and experience the return of Rockin' at Rockville High.

After a hiatus, we head to Six Flags Over Texas and encounter a number of new in-park changes. Fresh paint continues to hit several buildings around the park. We also point out multiple new dining locations coming soon, issues with new offerings at other restaurants, the shuffling of some in-park services and the addition of single rider lines. Finally, Pirates of Speelunker Cave looks to be opening soon as crews continue working hard on Aquaman: Power Wave.

The Taste of Mardi Gras Food Festival returns to Six Flags Fiesta Texas on select dates between January 15 and February 27. Running in conjunction with the park's Mardi Gras Festival, the event features six food booths and four adult beverage booths. Offerings include savory items, such as crawfish etouffee and crab mac and cheese, along with beignets and other sweet items. Earlier this year, Fiesta Texas announced their next major roller coaster, Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger. We check out the progress on the construction of this new dive coaster, along with the demolition of Sundance Theatre and the upgrade and paint job taking place at Poltergeist.
