Originally opened in 1973, Traders Village in Grand Prairie, Texas is home to Prairie Playland. This small amusement park is home to over a dozen rides and attractions, including the new Prairie Screamer roller coaster. Standing 90 feet tall, Prairie Screamer reaches speeds of 50 miles per hour with an 80-foot first drop.

Fiesta Texas recently gave us the opportunity to tour their all-new Fright Fest haunted house, Trapped! Located in the park's Spassburg section, Trapped is set around an unsightly hospital with gruesome and surprising tricks around every corner. Make sure to check out this new haunt during Fright Fest, which lasts until October 31.

Pirates of Speelunker Cave opened at Six Flags Over Texas on May 14, 2022. Riders board the attraction and venture into Speelunker Cave. Soon enough, you are greeted by a band of pirates looking for lost treasure. Upon bracing a storm, a kraken, mermaids and more, the exploration takes riders deep into Speelunker territory.

Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger, the world's steepest B&M dive coaster, officially opened on July 30, 2022 at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The park's 11th roller coaster, Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger reaches speeds of 60 miles per hour and a height of 150 feet. Riders are hung over the attraction's 95-degree first drop before plummeting down and into two inversions.

Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger has officially opened, which means we were able to take a tour of her secret lab. Join us for an in-depth look at the attraction's themed indoor queue segment. Other 30th anniversary park improvements, such as painting projects, continue. Fright Fest preparations are also under way with multiple scare zones and themed areas popping up all around the park.

Fiesta Texas invited SFFT Source out to media day for their new, record-breaking Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger roller coaster! This B&M dive coaster features a height of 150 feet, 95-degree first drop, two inversions, top speed of 60 miles per hour, an extreme airtime hill and more. Join us for an exclusive on-ride view of Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger, along with ride impressions and information regarding the enhanced queue experience.

Construction continues on Fiesta Texas' newest high-thrill roller coaster, Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger. The attraction's outdoor queue and station have begun to take shape. We also head over to Sangerfest Halle to check out more enhancements to the dining location's ongoing remodel and much more.

Ice Breaker opened at SeaWorld Orlando on February 18, 2022. This Premier Rides launched steel coaster features a height of 93 feet and top speed of 52 miles per hour. The attraction also launches riders forward and backwards multiple times.

Our first-ever visit to SeaWorld Orlando is jam-packed with first-time rides on coasters such as Mako and Kraken, a behind-the-scenes tour of Manta, in-depth looks at Sesame Street Land and more. SeaWorld Orlando originally opened December 15, 1973, just two years after Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Today, the 200-acre park features 6 roller coasters, several entertainment and event offerings and more.

Pirates of Speelunker Cave is a re-imagining of one of the park’s first attractions, The Cave, that operated from 1964 until 1991 and replaces the current version of the attraction—Yosemite Sam and the Gold River Adventure. The Cave featured original characters called Speelunkers that were created exclusively for Six Flags Over Texas. The new ride features projection and immersive sets, custom soundtrack, sixty-four Speelunkers and no height requirement with an accompanying adult.

Join along as we take our fist-ever visit to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Originally opened in 1959, Busch Gardens is home to thousands of animals, along with ten iconic roller coasters. This adventure has us riding several of the park's high-thrill attractions, including the all-new Iron Gwazi, SheiKra and more.

Join us for a ride on Tidal Surge, SeaWorld San Antonio's newest high-thrill attraction. This S&S Screamin' Swing sends riders to heights of 135 feet at a top speed of 68 miles per hour. Lasting 1 minute, 20 seconds, Tidal Surge holds 40 riders and features 230 degrees of rotation per boom arm. When it opened, Tidal Surge was the tallest and fastest ride of its kind in the world.

A visit to Six Flags Over Texas unveils the removal of all single rider lines at various attractions, along with a big update on current ride closures. We also follow up on the major dining and restaurant changes taking place, along with great construction updates for both Aquaman: Power Wave and Pirates of Speelunker Cave.

After a hiatus, we head to Six Flags Over Texas and encounter a number of new in-park changes. Fresh paint continues to hit several buildings around the park. We also point out multiple new dining locations coming soon, issues with new offerings at other restaurants, the shuffling of some in-park services and the addition of single rider lines. Finally, Pirates of Speelunker Cave looks to be opening soon as crews continue working hard on Aquaman: Power Wave.

Construction of Fiesta Texas' newest roller coaster, Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger, is moving at electric pace as the lift hill install is complete and crews have begun working on the first drop. We also check out other park updates, including the continued refresh of Primo's Pizzeria and several new Then & Now 30th anniversary features.

Tons of work continues through Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas. Join us in touring the new, opened up area at the park's front gate after some extensive building removal. We also head over to Texas Arena where crews are actively working on demolishing structures within. Other updates include a look at progress on Pirates of Speelunker Cave, Aquaman: Power Wave, Mr. Freeze's new paint job and more.

Construction projects at Six Flags Over Texas continue to move at a rapid pace. Work has picked up on Aquaman: Power Wave and its addition of a turntable and crews continue to prep the all-new Pirates of Speelunker Cave dark ride. The new Mr. Freeze paint job has also progressed, along with several building refurbishments, especially in the park's Old South section. Six Flags Over Texas also continues the parking lot makeover and construction of a new perimeter fence.

Reaching heights of 135 feet and top speeds of 68 miles per hour, Tidal Surge will be the tallest and fastest S&S Screamin' Swing attraction ever constructed when it opens. This in-depth update takes a look at the major construction projects currently happening at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
