SeaWorld San Antonio today announced the construction of a NEW water flume coaster, Catapult Falls, coming in 2023. The first-of-its-kind ride combines the thrill of a launched roller coaster, the excitement of a vertical lift elevator that lifts riders above the theme park, and a water flume ride with the steepest drop, to produce multiple rushes of adrenaline as well as moments of exciting splashes to cool guests down.

Fiesta Texas recently gave us the opportunity to tour their all-new Fright Fest haunted house, Trapped! Located in the park's Spassburg section, Trapped is set around an unsightly hospital with gruesome and surprising tricks around every corner. New for 2022 is the Oktoberfest Food Festival at Six Flags Over Texas. Taking place now through October 30, Oktoberfest features a number of German-inspired food items and beers. Aquaman: Power Wave recently began test runs and other changes have happened around the ride's construction site.

Fright Fest continues to take shape at Six Flags Over Texas with confirmed haunted houses, shows and scare zones. We discuss the upcoming closure of Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast and check out Aquaman: Power Wave progress, which shows off the ride's control panel installed. Oktoberfest is the newest event coming to the park. However, we run into conflicting start dates and lack of festival information during our visit.

Pirates of Speelunker Cave opened at Six Flags Over Texas on May 14, 2022. Riders board the attraction and venture into Speelunker Cave. Soon enough, you are greeted by a band of pirates looking for lost treasure. Upon bracing a storm, a kraken, mermaids and more, the exploration takes riders deep into Speelunker territory.

We take an end-of-summer visit to Six Flags Over Texas. Daily operation has concluded, which means the park is hard at work with new improvements and Fright Fest installations. A lap around the park reveals confirmed live entertainment and haunted house offerings that will be coming to the park this year. We also explore the park's single rider line situation with new updates regarding availability.

Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger, the world's steepest B&M dive coaster, officially opened on July 30, 2022 at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The park's 11th roller coaster, Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger reaches speeds of 60 miles per hour and a height of 150 feet. Riders are hung over the attraction's 95-degree first drop before plummeting down and into two inversions.

Though the opening of Aquaman: Power Wave has been delayed another year, construction still marches on. The ride's first boat has been installed, along with station and splashdown components. We take a look Six Flags Over Texas' new dining offerings, including Roller Coaster Coffee and Auntie Anne's, along with upgrades and fixes to Pirates of Speelunker Cave and the end of this year's live summer entertainment.

Major construction continues at SeaWorld San Antonio with more land clearing across from the Wave Breaker roller coaster. Other construction projects are also happening, including multiple new haunted house buildings. We take a tour of the all-new Coaster Coffee shop, the summer's Electric Ocean event and HydroPower: Xtreme FX closing show to finish up the night.

Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger has officially opened, which means we were able to take a tour of her secret lab. Join us for an in-depth look at the attraction's themed indoor queue segment. Texas Stingray, a wooden coaster, opened at SeaWorld San Antonio on February 22, 2020. The thrilling family attraction was designed by Dustin Sloane of Skyline Attractions and manufactured by Great Coasters International. Texas Stingray stands 96 feet tall and reaches a top speed of 55 miles per hour.
