SeaWorld San Antonio Reveals Plans for the ALL-NEW Rescue Jr., a Kid-Friendly World of Discovery – Opening Spring 2025
SeaWorld San Antonio today unveiled its plans for an ALL-NEW friendly world of discovery, the Rescue Jr. hub, set to open Spring 2025. This immersive, hands-on adventure zone will transport young guests into the heart of SeaWorld’s animal rescue efforts, where they’ll tackle immersive rides, conquer towering climbing structures, splash through vibrant water features and bring to life the rescue and rehabilitation work the SeaWorld team does.
SeaWorld Announces Early Rise Park Hours to Beat the Afternoon Heat
SeaWorld San Antonio is excited to announce the launch of “Early Rise Hours”, with an earlier morning opening time to help guests beat the hot Texas mid-day heat. Beginning July 13th and on additional select Saturday dates, the park will open at 8 am, two and a half hours earlier than its normal opening time. Guests can take advantage of the cool morning temperatures, grab their morning coffee and breakfast, ride thrilling coasters, and see animals all before the afternoon temperatures rise.

Aquatica San Antonio, located at SeaWorld San Antonio, is a large water park that features rides and experiences for thrill seekers and younger guests. Catapult Falls Front Row 4K POV, SeaWorld San Antonio | Record-Breaking New Log Flume Ride
Catapult Falls at SeaWorld San Antonio is a first-of-its-kind log flume attraction. The ride features eleven boats, holding eight riders each. After meandering through calm waters, Catapult Falls launches riders at speeds of 30 feet per second through the first splashdown. Soon enough, the attraction travels up a unique elevator lift and down a 53-degree drop, the steepest of any log flume.

The highly anticipated thrill ride is the world’s first launched flume coaster and features the steepest drop in any flume ride. Giant Tortoises Get a Grand New Home at SeaWorld
A new animal attraction is quickly taking shape at SeaWorld San Antonio, but its residents might be a bit slow while roaming around their new home once it is completed. One of the largest tortoises in the world, the Aldabra tortoise – a species currently listed as vulnerable - will soon have a new habitat at SeaWorld San Antonio. Aldabra Island, a new state-of-the-art 7,000 square-foot tortoise habitat will be the perfect size to accommodate the giant reptiles that can weigh upwards of 500 pounds and stand four feet tall.

New Catapult Falls Ride Now Set for a 2024 Debut at SeaWorld San Antonio
Today, SeaWorld San Antonio announced that their new Catapult Falls attraction will be delayed until 2024. SeaWorld sent the update to pass members, which states, “Our upcoming attraction Catapult Falls - the first launched, flume coaster in the world - is now expected to open in 2024. While we hoped to introduce this exciting thrill to our fans this year, sometimes it takes longer than expected to bring ‘firsts’ to life.”

SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival is Back with New Flavors and Drinks
SeaWorld is kicking off spring 2023 with the city’s biggest and best food festival, now packed with more flavor than ever! This year at San Antonio’s largest theme park food festival, foodies can enjoy over 100 chef and mixologist-curated tastes inspired by cultures from across the seven seas. Guests can sample and sip international flavors from Brazil, Korea, Italy, Greece, Hawaii, Japan, France, Jamaica, Mexico, and Germany. The festival takes place every Thursday through Sunday from March 23rd through May 21st.
