SeaWorld Brings the Big Easy to South Texas as it Rolls Out its Mardi Gras Celebrations
SeaWorld San Antonio is letting the good times roll as Mardi Gras returns to the park starting this Saturday, January 13 and running through February 25. SeaWorld’s Mardi Gras celebration transforms Texas’ biggest and best theme park into a jazzed-up, New Orleans-style atmosphere complete with live music, festive characters, and a Mardi Gras-inspired menu featuring both all-new and returning Cajun and Creole food favorites.

This jam-packed Six Flags Fiesta Texas update takes us on a behind-the-scenes tour of the new children's water slides currently being installed in Hurricane Harbor San Antonio. Six Flags Fiesta Texas goes all out for the New Year and 2024 was no exception. Join us for the New Year's 360 Fireworks Celebration, which features fireworks being shot from several places around the park. We also take a look at what comes with a VIP fireworks package. For the first time in a handful of years, Fiesta Texas also brings back a Diamond-exclusive event that includes ride time on multiple attractions, free food and beverages and a second fireworks show at midnight.

Aquatica, Texas’ best waterpark, will open Tikitapu Splash in 2024. Giant Tortoises Get a Grand New Home at SeaWorld
A new animal attraction is quickly taking shape at SeaWorld San Antonio, but its residents might be a bit slow while roaming around their new home once it is completed. One of the largest tortoises in the world, the Aldabra tortoise – a species currently listed as vulnerable - will soon have a new habitat at SeaWorld San Antonio. Aldabra Island, a new state-of-the-art 7,000 square-foot tortoise habitat will be the perfect size to accommodate the giant reptiles that can weigh upwards of 500 pounds and stand four feet tall.

Cedar Fair (NYSE: FUN) and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: SIX) today announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement to combine in a merger of equals transaction. The combined company, with a pro forma enterprise value of approximately $8 billion based on both companies’ debt and equity values as of October 31, 2023, will be a leading amusement park operator in the highly competitive leisure space with an expanded and diversified footprint, a more robust operating model and a strong revenue and cash flow generation profile.
