Cedar Fair and Six Flags Announce Anticipated Closing Date of the Mergers
Cedar Fair, L.P. (NYSE: FUN) (“Cedar Fair”) and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: SIX) (“Six Flags”), today announced that they notified the New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”) that the closing of Cedar Fair and Six Flags’ previously announced merger of equals (the “Mergers”) is expected to occur on July 1, 2024 (the “Expected Closing Date”). The completion of the Mergers is subject to the satisfaction or waiver of a number of conditions set forth in the merger agreement relating to the Mergers, including the satisfaction of regulatory conditions.

The new ride is a retheming of the Chaparral Antique Cars, which originally debuted at the park in 1962, and promises guests an exciting new take on a beloved classic.

What is now known as the San Antonio Zoo officially began in 1914. Over its 100 years, the 57-acre zoo has grown to feature 750 species of animals and over a million annual visitors. The San Antonio Zoo is involved with the protection and breeding of many endangered species, including the black rhino, the golden lion tamarin and the dama gazelle. Catapult Falls at SeaWorld San Antonio is a first-of-its-kind log flume attraction. The ride features eleven boats, holding eight riders each. After meandering through calm waters, Catapult Falls launches riders at speeds of 30 feet per second through the first splashdown. Soon enough, the attraction travels up a unique elevator lift and down a 53-degree drop, the steepest of any log flume.
