Fort Worth Zoo Tour & Review | Ranked Best Zoo in Texas & Among Top Zoos in North America

Opened in 1909, Fort Worth Zoo is located in Fort Worth, Texas and features 7,000 native and exotic animals. It has been ranked among the top zoos in North America by USA Today, the Los Angeles Times and Family Life magazine. Currently, the Fort Worth Zoo is in the process of completing a $100 million capital campaign, entitled "A Wilder Vision." Three of four phases have been complete and the final section, Forests & Jungles, is scheduled to finish in spring of 2025. Today, the Fort Worth Zoo spans 64 acres and is home to over 500 species.
