In June, we participated in the Coasting for Kids fundraiser at Six Flags Over Texas. The fundraiser helps critically ill children and their families go on vacations to the Give Kids the World Village in Florida at no cost. We challenged our viewers to raise enough money to make me ride a trapdoor water slide, which I absolutely despise. Well, you did it! You raised enough money. We headed out to Hurricane Harbor San Antonio at Fiesta Texas to pay our debts, but the challenge didn't go quite as planned.

Peppa Pig Theme Park DFW, scheduled to open this year, will be a standalone theme park experience featuring a children's roller coaster, flat rides, entertainment and play areas. Located in North Richland Hills, the new theme park will immerse visitors into the world of Peppa Pig and several other related characters from the popular television series. SeaWorld San Antonio is thrilled to premiere its Red, White and BBQ festival showcasing the best barbecue from around the country. Beginning August 9 and running through September 2, guests can enjoy BBQ styles from Kansas City, the Carolinas, Texas, Memphis and Hawaii all while strolling the park enjoying rides and animal attractions. This inaugural event is the perfect blend of food, fun and entertainment and is included in SeaWorld admission every Friday through Sunday and on Labor Day.

Adventureland Amusement Park, located on Long Island, opened its doors in 1962 and was a product of the area's increasing population. Situated on only twelve acres of land, the park has an impressive showcase of over thirty rides and attractions. Adventureland features three roller coasters, including the rare Fireball, and Turbulence, a high-thrill spinning coaster. The park is currently in the middle of a $10 million project for their Legacy Corner area with Wave Twister making its debut in 2025.

Earlier this month, Six Flags Over Texas unveiled their new Bugs Bunny Boomtown attractions, which are Sylvester & Tweety Pounce and Bounce and the returning Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters. Fright Fest is just over two months away and we've been able to confirm an entertainment offering and discuss the haunted house teasers that have been released. Finally, another food review gauges if the park's food quality has improved since our first summer visit.

SeaWorld San Antonio is excited to announce the launch of “Early Rise Hours”, with an earlier morning opening time to help guests beat the hot Texas mid-day heat. Beginning July 13th and on additional select Saturday dates, the park will open at 8 am, two and a half hours earlier than its normal opening time. Guests can take advantage of the cool morning temperatures, grab their morning coffee and breakfast, ride thrilling coasters, and see animals all before the afternoon temperatures rise.

The Summer Nights Spectacular takes place at Six Flags Fiesta Texas now through August 10. The event features new entertainment, including the large Forever Hollywood production, various fireworks displays and plenty of photo opportunities. Fiesta Texas will also feature the '99 Rewind later this summer, which are special ERT evenings to celebrate the 25th anniversary of several rides and attractions.

SeaWorld San Antonio continues the 60th anniversary celebration with the Summer Spectacular. The event is highlighted by new entertainment offerings, such as Splash: A Sandsational Cirque Celebration and the So Much More to Sea Parade with Shamu, along with a throwback museum and fireworks. Our visit also takes a look at new food from Las Tortugas Taquiera and roller coaster track that has shown up near Catapult Falls.

Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, today announced that Dino Off Road Adventure will open to the public on June 15, 2024 following an exclusive preview for season pass holders. The new ride is a retheming of the Chaparral Antique Cars, which originally debuted at the park in 1962, and promises guests an exciting new take on a beloved classic.

Opened in 1909, Fort Worth Zoo is located in Fort Worth, Texas and features 7,000 native and exotic animals. It has been ranked among the top zoos in North America by USA Today, the Los Angeles Times and Family Life magazine. Today, the Fort Worth Zoo spans 64 acres and is home to over 500 species.

Six Flags Over Texas and its sister park Six Flags New England, located in Agawam, Massachusetts, have set a friendly wager for the upcoming NBA Finals series kicking off on Thursday, June 6. Six Flags Over Texas will, of course, be cheering on their beloved Mavericks, while Six Flags New England supports the Boston Celtics.

In 2024, Hurricane Harbor Arlington celebrates its 40th anniversary. Originally a Wet 'n Wild water park, Six Flags purchased the property in 1995. New for 2024 at Six Flags Over Texas is the Dino Off Road Adventure. Taking over the existing track of the Chaparral Antique Cars attraction, the new ride will feature several dinosaur animatronics throughout its layout. Construction is quickly under way on the new ride, along with the two new children's attractions set to open in Bugs Bunny Boomtown.
