SeaWorld Announces Early Rise Park Hours to Beat the Afternoon Heat

SeaWorld San Antonio is excited to announce the launch of “Early Rise Hours”, with an earlier morning opening time to help guests beat the hot Texas mid-day heat. Beginning July 13th and on additional select Saturday dates, the park will open at 8 am, two and a half hours earlier than its normal opening time. Guests can take advantage of the cool morning temperatures, grab their morning coffee and breakfast, ride thrilling coasters, and see animals all before the afternoon temperatures rise.

Giant Tortoises Get a Grand New Home at SeaWorld

A new animal attraction is quickly taking shape at SeaWorld San Antonio, but its residents might be a bit slow while roaming around their new home once it is completed. One of the largest tortoises in the world, the Aldabra tortoise – a species currently listed as vulnerable - will soon have a new habitat at SeaWorld San Antonio. Aldabra Island, a new state-of-the-art 7,000 square-foot tortoise habitat will be the perfect size to accommodate the giant reptiles that can weigh upwards of 500 pounds and stand four feet tall.

SeaWorld sent the update to pass members, which states, “Our upcoming attraction Catapult Falls - the first launched, flume coaster in the world - is now expected to open in 2024. While we hoped to introduce this exciting thrill to our fans this year, sometimes it takes longer than expected to bring ‘firsts’ to life.”
