First-of-its-Kind Family Racing Coaster, New Water Park Kids Area & Other Enhancements Coming to Fiesta Texas in 2023
World’s First Single-Rail Family Racing Coaster
Skyline Attractions – San Antonio, Texas, USA – Skyline Attractions is excited to share that a racing P’Sghetti Bowl Children’s Coaster will open at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in summer 2023! The twin-tracked roller coaster was announced today by park president Jeffrey Siebert. It will be the park’s 12th and 13th roller coasters. The ride is designed, engineered, and fabricated by Skyline Attractions.
The P’Sghetti Bowl Children’s Coaster product was first introduced in September 2021 and features an innovative weld-free track design, which allows for a streamlined fabrication process and lower price tag. The roller coaster also includes an inclusive train design, capable of seating an adult and child, or two children, in each row. Riders are restrained by individual T-shaped bars for added comfort and safety.
The ride will be America’s first racing children’s coaster. The twin tracks span a cumulative 1,124 ft [342.7 m] and are as twisted as a bowl of spaghetti, each crossing over and under other segments of track a dozen times during the ride cycle. The two sides can operate simultaneously for racing action or with one side only for limited operation.
“This ride is going to be a great addition to the Six Flags Fiesta Texas line-up,” Skyline Attractions Partner and Director of Structural Engineering Dan Peak said. Peak was present at the park for today’s announcement. “It’s accessible to younger riders while remaining fun for the whole family. My two young boys love rides and I can’t wait to ride it with them when it opens next year!”
In addition to being America’s first racing children’s roller coaster, the ride will also be the first Skyline Attractions roller coaster to feature the Aurora LED lighting package. This enhancement, first showcased at the 2022 IAAPA Expo, transforms the roller coaster’s tracks into a kaleidoscope of lights and colors with a multitude of LED panels. This feature can be used for custom theming, holiday overlays, paid sponsorships, or other displays.
